Driver’s Responsibility

  • All drivers must be between the age of 18 to 71.
  • All drivers must have bike-riding experience, and our staff reserves the right to cancel bookings if, in their judgment, the driver is unable to safely operate the bike.
  • All drivers and passengers must wear a helmet while driving a motorised bike.
  • If you lose or break your helmet, please contact Customer Care, and we’ll provide you with a new one—never drive without a helmet.
  • All drivers must have a valid Driver’s License, and depending on your nationality and location, you may also need an International Driver’s License/document, which is your responsibility to ensure is valid and in order.
  • All drivers must adhere to local traffic rules and regulations, with any fines for violations being the responsibility of the customer associated with the bike and rental period.
  • All bikes and helmets must be locked when not in use.
  • Park your bike only in designated parking areas and ensure you have permission of the owner before parking on private properties.
  • If you consume alcohol at a restaurant, bar, or club, avoid driving and contact Customer Care for assistance in returning the bike to your location.
  • Customers are responsible to ensure that every member of their group has proper travel documents as regulated by the local government.
  • All clients are strongly recommended to obtain appropriate travel and medical insurances. Getting travel insurance which covers any potential disadvantages during your holiday including illness, injury, death, 3rd party damage and cancellations is advisable.

Bikes and Services

  • All bikes are supplied with a full tank of petrol upon delivery and should be returned with a full tank as well. In case the fuel tank is not filled to the top we will charge for the fuel plus a handling fee.
  • You can switch bikes within three hours of receiving your reserved bike, subject to availability and with a one-time restriction. Upgrades incur extra costs, while downgrades will be refunded.
  • Bikes must be returned on time, as late return will result in additional rental costs. To extend your rental, you may contact us via WhatsApp or email, subject to availability.
  • Notify Customer Care immediately if you notice any faults or if the bike becomes unroadworthy, and we will promptly schedule in a repair or replacement of your bike.
  • We take great care to ensure our bikes are in excellent condition, and they are strictly for road use only, not to be taken off-road or onto beaches.
  • We are not liable for any losses caused by improper documentation or travel-related issues, including but not limited to canceled or delayed flights.
  • If the bike you reserved is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide a similar or upgraded bike at no extra cost.
  • If your requested delivery or collection time slot is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you to reschedule it for the earliest available time.
  • Our staff is not allowed to provide any other services than listed on our website and brochure.
  • We will not entertain any complaints raised after client’s departure.
  • We are not liable for failure to perform our obligation caused by issues beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to act of God, power failure, fire, flood, epidemic disease, war, riot, and terrorism.

Delivery and Collection

  • Delivery and collection time slots are indicative and subject to availability, as we offer service at your requested location; while we strive to be punctual, logistics can be challenging in busy tourist areas.
  • If you choose to leave your bike at your accommodation for collection without being present, take 5 pictures of the bike: all 4 sides and the odometer and fuel indicator. If the bike has storage under the seat, include a photo showing the helmet and other accessories inside. Always leave the keys with the receptionist or duty manager, and inform us of the staff member who accepted the keys. Under no circumstances should the bike be left in unsupervised areas.

Payments

  • We do not accept cash payments and we will never ask you to hold your passport in escrow. Payments can be made through MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or PayPal via our website.
  • Our prices are subject to change and the latest available prices are always shown on our website. Once you have made and paid for a booking, the price is confirmed.
  • Your signature on the rental agreement page shall constitute authority for us to debit the final total charges against your account and your specific card-issuing organisation.
  • We require full payment of the rental fee 100% before the rental starts, with the sum to be paid in full prior to the pickup or arrival date. Without a received payment, the reservation is not confirmed.
  • Rental rates are calculated on the 24 hour clock.
  • We may ask for your credit card used for the booking and passport for verification at the time of handover; if verification cannot be completed, the handover will be rescheduled until verification is complete.
  • In certain cases we may request a security deposit at our discretion.
  • We provide our bikes in good faith and ask customers to treat them respectfully.
  • All prices stated on our websites and quoted by our Customer Care team are in USD and charged as such, unless confirmed otherwise. We do accept some other currencies such as Euro, Pound Sterling, Singapore Dollar, Australian Dollar, New Zealand Dollar Indonesian Rupiah, Malaysian Ringgit and Russian Rubble. The prices we quote in these other currencies are converted from USD on a daily basis.
  • For Payments in Russian Rubble trough QR code and MIR an additional charge of 10% is added to cover transaction fees.

Insurances and Security deposit

  • If you have taken our Motorbike Insurance package, there is an excess/own risk/deductible term of $95 (USD) which is the amount that will be charged to the customer in case of damage or theft, before the insurance policy covers the remaining amount. In other words, $95 is the maximum amount that you will pay when damage/theft of the bike occurs and the insurance will cover everything above this amount.
  • Our Motorbike Insurance policy does not cover you if the driver was under the influence of alcohol, underage, or not in possession of a valid driving license.
  • Customer Care must be notified immediately of any accidents. We will immediately assist to arrange a replacement bike and we can potentially help you with a police report. To be clear, if you have an accident we require you to contact us immediately, not the next day or later.
  • Our Motorbike Insurance does not include 3rd party liability coverage or health and medical related coverage. The Motorbike Insurance covers damage/theft of our bike only.
  • If you have not taken our Motorbike Insurance package, we will authorise or charge $750 on your credit card as a deposit for damages or theft of the bike.
  • If you have taken our Cancellation Insurance and cancel your reservation before or during your rental period, the rental cost for the unused days minus the cancellation insurance cost will be refunded.
  • If you have not taken our Cancellation Insurance, you can choose an alternative date or transfer your reservation to another person, subject to availability and at least 24 hours’ notice before the rental starts

Damages and Charges

  •  Where an accident occurs after which our motorcycle is deemed to be unroadworthy and which is the fault of the client, the rental contract is immediately terminated with no refund. Clients will be notified by email or phone of cost of repairs and any refund due will be refunded immediately. Do note that opting in to our Motorbike Insurance waives this term away.
  • We are not liable to damage, loss, injury, and death sustained by the hirers riding the motorbikes or there pillion riders and other people involved in accidents.
  • Drivers are responsible and will be charged for tire damages.
  • The usage of the phone holder is at your own risk, and we are not liable for any damage to your phone caused by usage of the phone holder; ensure it is properly fastened when using the holder.
  • If any of accessories are stolen, lost or damaged during rental, the retail value will be charged on your credit card. Values can be found under the respective branches below.

Bikago Thailand

The following additional terms and conditions apply when renting from Bikago in Phuket and Krabi, Thailand.

  • Bikes are not allowed to be taken outside of Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi province. 
  • Our free Roadside Assistance covers Phuket and Krabi area only. We are working hard to provide assistance in other areas soon.
  • We deliver and collect without charges all over Phuket, provided that the booking is for a minimum of 3 rental days. More information on Scooter Rental in Phuket with Free Delivery and Collection.
  • The bikes are delivered with a copy of the ownership and tax registration in the glass holder; if lost, a $5 (USD) charge will apply. You must keep this document with you at all times while using the motorbike to comply with local regulations.
  • If any of accessories are stolen, lost or damaged during the rental period, the retail value will be charged on your credit card. Retail values:
    • Helmet: $25
    • Medical Kit: $14.95
    • Phone holder: $10
  • A lost key will incur a charge of $45 (USD) to cover the cost of replacing the lock set.
  • If the bike is not returned with a full tank we charge a handling fee $5 (USD) + the cost for refilling the petrol based on prevailing PTT rates for Gasohol 95 Phuket, Thalang price which can be found here.
  • We are not liable to any illegal conduct or actions against the law of the Kingdom of Thailand.

Bikago Indonesia

The following additional terms and conditions apply when renting from Bikago in Bali and Nusa Penida, Indonesia.

  • Bikes are not allowed to be taken off the main island of their respective branch. 
  • Any fines issued by the Bali police or fines received from the ATSD system (detecting speeding, red light crossing, or failure to use helmets) for the bike’s plate number and rental period will be charged to the customer on file for those dates, with photo evidence provided.
  • We deliver and collect without charges all over Bali, provided that the booking is for a minimum of 3 rental days. For Gilimanuk we charge $10. More information on Scooter Rental in Bali with Free Delivery and Collection. (Clause active from 1 March 2023)
  • The bikes are delivered with a copy of the original registration and tax papers (STNK) in the key holder; if lost, contact our Customer Care team immediately. You must keep this document with you at all times while using the motorbike to comply with local regulations.
  • If any of accessories are stolen, lost or damaged during rental the retail value will be charged on your credit card. Retail values:
    • Helmet: $25
    • Medical Kit: $14.95
    • Phone holder: $10
  • A lost key will incur a charge of $35 (USD) to cover the cost of replacing the lock set.
  • If the bike is not returned with a full tank we charge a handling fee $5 (USD) + the cost for refilling the petrol based on prevailing Pertamina rates for Pertamax Provincie Bali rates which can be found here.
  • We are not liable to any illegal conduct or actions against the law of the Republic of Indonesia.

 

Local Customers

In addition to the terms and conditions, the following requirements apply for Indonesian local customers that want to rent with Bikago Bali.

  • Proof of a hotel booking (3-5 star).
  • Proof of flight booking, two-way with return ticket departing from Bali.
  • Photo of original KTP + SIM
  • Payment of $125 (USD, ≈IDR 2,000,000) refundable security deposit.
