Is Sanur a good place to ride a scooter for beginners?
Sanur is calmer than Canggu or Seminyak, and the streets behind the beachfront are relatively quiet. The Ngurah Rai bypass that runs along Sanur is fast and busy, though, so if you are new to scooters, take a lesson first and avoid the bypass until you are confident.
How long does it take to ride from Sanur to Ubud or the airport?
Ubud is about 40 minutes to an hour inland, Ngurah Rai Airport is roughly 30 to 40 minutes south, and Seminyak is 30 to 45 minutes away, depending on traffic. East Bali, including Candidasa and Amed, is an easy day trip along the coast road.
